Emma Roberts posted her engagement ring and personally, I love a round stone. I just Googled and the round brilliant is the most popular cut of 2024, so her ring is right on time.

Emma is a really consistent sponcon poster so I wonder how much of the wedding we will see. Maybe it will be at Auntie Julia’s ranch in New Mexico. It’s where Julia and Danny were married and it’s been 22 years.

If you don’t know Cole Escola, they are THE moment right now. Celebs are going crazy for their Broadway show Oh, Mary! and their star is quickly rising. Madonna was just there and posted about it in her stories. Andy Cohen is all about that buzz so he had Cole Escola on, even though the at-home audience probably isn’t familiar with them (yet) and asked about the film rights. Cole joked about a bidding war, but why not? The content machine needs content! But obviously it would be Max, not Netflix.

Lainey wrote about Blake Lively’s new haircare line and my hair is a finicky bitch, so I will not be experimenting with it. I take shampoo very seriously and like Blake, have not used conditioner in years. I need reviews first, lots of them, from the beauty forums that are not filtered. What I’ll be watching for is how the circle of promotion plays out: Gwyneth often shouts out Skims, Jennifer Aniston’s line and Hailey Bieber. That’s a friendly circle. Sprinkle some Nicole Richie in there as well, along with Jennifer Meyer, Rachel Zoe and Kate Hudson. Hailey has worn Gigi Hadid’s cashmere line. Gigi is the bridge between this group and Taylor, Selena and Blake.

Will Gwyneth acknowledge Blake’s line? If Blake goes into beauty, they will be competing for shelf space at Target. And while “there’s room for everybody” is the line, on a physical shelf there is literally not room for everyone. That’s not how shelves work.

Let’s be really, brutally honestly with ourselves here. How do we feel about the actors who had a hit show in the earl aughts and keep riding that train. There’s podcasts and reunions and throwbacks and every detail and feud is dissected in detail. Some of these shows went off the air nearly two decades ago and here they are, reliving every moment. For me, it gives “stuck in high school” but for many of them, this was their high school/college experience and new work is not easy to find. So I understand they want to monetize a time in their lives they can’t get past, personally or professionally.

Then there are the Entourage dudes, who are threatening a reboot. Yes, it’s a threat I take seriously. Can you imagine the MeToo storylines they will come up with.
