Some celebrities, like Jennifer Aniston, hardly ever attend “brand” events but this is different because it’s a dinner party with friends. I’ve noticed a lot of the same women show up for Courteney Cox, Gwyneth Paltrow and Jennifer Meyer. It must be a great gig for a publicist. They don’t need to send out a press release because this photo grabs all the headlines and the product gets a mention without a push.
The mailing list for the extremely highly anticipated Phoebe Philo launch is open and Anna Wintour, power stylists, socialites and celebrities will obviously get the first look. Who do we think will be wearing the first new Phoebe piece? My guess is the Olsen twins. There are rumours that retired supermodel Daria Werbowy will front the campaign and it might drop in September. Fashion doesn’t happen in a vacuum and while most of us will only be browsing, the influence will trickle down quickly. Style has shifted as well - the Kardashians have maximized minimalism and “quiet luxury” is now something people aspire to. Very curious as to what her next era will be.
Casey Affleck and Summer Phoenix’s son Indiana was cast in an indie film alongside his mom and director Amy Redford makes a point to say there was no favourtism. I’m sure not, what would be the benefit about casting a real-life mother-son from a family with two famous last names for an indie movie except loads of free publicity. Why fight it? Why make a point to tell us that he didn’t get a head start? He’s a double nepo-baby – four Oscars in the family tree.
OK it’s been a minute since I checked on Casey Affleck’s lovey-dovey Instagram posts about Caylee Cowan and the last one of them together on his feed is February 14 and then a birthday post in mid-March. The last time he made it to her grid was March 14. She also attended the Air premiere at the end of March. Maybe they split but what I want to know is: how much time did she get to spend with JLo?
