Real Housewives divorces are common and I don’t think it’s necessarily the show that is bad for the marriage; I think sometimes people in bad marriages want to get on the show. It is a great launchpad for women who were heavily reliant on their husbands not just for money but for social capital. 

Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast members Dorit and PK’s divorce is a little different because right out of the gate, she told people he is an alcoholic and he left her. This divorce isn’t Scandoval or the same level as Kyle Richards because even in Housewives-land, Dorit is B list – but this season will change that. The candidness is refreshing (oftentimes, the divorce speculation goes on for months and is avoided). In a candid conversation, PK basically told Dorit she outshines him now, with the unspoken part being that Housewives has given her opportunities he is not part of. Jeff Lewis, who is a bit of town crier for the Housewives universe, went on Nick Viall’s podcast (which Vulture called Meet the Press for reality TV) and heavily implied that the issue is that she doesn’t spend a lot of time with her kids. How does Jeff know this? His nanny told him when she is at the park with his daughter that Dorit is not there with her children. Let’s unpack this: Jeff is getting this information from his nanny, which means he is also not at the park with his daughter. And second, does PK ever take his kids to the park? Does the nanny see him there? That isn’t even mentioned in this clip. This is like that “I can’t operate on this boy, he’s my son” riddle. 

Kaia Gerber continues to focus on acting and I think in a few years, that work will surpass her modeling. But will she continue to date actors? It seems like she and Austin Butler might have split but it’s hard to say, they were never super public. 

She’s dated Jacob Elordi and maybe Pete Davidson. She likes an It Boy and the next on the punch card would be Timothée Chalamet, but he isn’t single right now. But they are all in their 20s, with years of musical chairs ahead of them. Remember when her mom married Richard Gere?

Karlie Kloss’s Elle cover is fine but I love the second shot of her in the grey dress. Her father-in-law Charles Kushner has been appointed the ambassador to France for the next US administration and I wonder if this will change her relationship to Paris Fashion Week, where she is already a regular. Karlie is very clear on where she stands in politics and on issues like abortion so it doesn’t seem like this will change much, but can you imagine that Thanksgiving this year? If she and Joshua made it.
