Is everyone still fighting about Emily in Paris?

With so much good TV, how are people finding the time to hate watch four seasons in?

Over the last couple of weeks I’ve pointed out that many politically active celebs have taken a big step back from endorsements. Now, with the big news, many famous names are back in the mix and it’s only Monday – by the end of the week the list of VP supporters will be stacked.

The Daily Mail has a story up about Katy Perry freaking out about the "Woman’s World" flop and reworking the album. Logically, this story makes sense but she’s presenting a different image on social media. Defiant, cheeky, above-it-all. There have been lots of pop albums that are less-than-stellar results but this isn’t just about sales, it’s about her place in the pop music ecosystem. Lady Gaga can have an album with disappointing sales, but that’s not a flop because of the artist’s body of work and reputation. Katy doesn’t have that goodwill. But this also demonstrates the celebrity bubble – Katy’s circle is gassing her up, telling her it's ironic and iconic.

It’s the right time for Ashlee Simpson to return to music. I mean, who is still getting upset about lip syncing these days? Even at the time of the SNL gaffe, lip syncing was common practice.

Nick Jonas is heading to Broadway and the pre-sales are going so well, people are upset about not getting a code. The producers must be thrilled with the buzz.

Diane Kruger got me thinking about eyebrows. I love hers! Strong but not that painted on look.

Gary Janetti has kicked up a fuss with his second book on travel. Particularly this quote: “It looks like, at the airport, too many people are on day five of the flu” – OK, I feel personally attacked. I don’t think I ever feel worse than when I’m at an airport, but is it because I am putting that energy into my appearance? I don’t wear pajamas in public and I am silently judgy when I’m at the gate surrounded by people in their flannels, so I get where Gary is coming from about sweatpants (which are outside pajamas). Is this a “who cares and leave people alone” scenario or a “we live in a society” moment of reckoning.
