Celebrity Social Media Round-Up for March 11, 2025 including Jessica Simpson's belt has me shook and not in a good way

Jessica Simpson’s new music is her focus and my focus is on that belt. What in the Y2K – a SQUARE big belt buckle. I’m shook and not in a good way.

As for Jessica’s music, I have no predictions one way or the other but I do think that nostalgia for the early aughts is on her side. But if I’m being really, super honest I think some media from that era is given a lot of weight because of when it happened in people’s lives. A lot of the shows, music, and movies were… not great but they are treated like cultural canon simply because of nostalgia. And gossip nostalgia can be a bit simplistic.

We talk a lot about nepo babies in the acting business but another place they really flourish is modeling. There are countless celebrity offspring who have walked in runway shows, major shows!, but aren’t full-time models like, say, the Hadid sisters. For most, it’s because their parents have a strong relationship with the design house so it’s a bit of family event.

Timothée Chalamet and Kylie Jenner are becoming my new favourites, simply because they drive so many people nuts. And the prevailing sentiment is that Timmy is “serious” and Kylie is not, so they shouldn’t be together because he should be with someone serious.

Is this a generational thing? Because I see Kylie as an influencer and businesswoman, which are kind of like the new models. Actors and models have dated forever! And while I’ve heard actors like Leonardo DiCaprio get teased about the age gaps, no one is saying he isn’t dating on his “level.” Same with Bradley Cooper, who has dated several models.

Scarlett Johansson is one of the most “unknowable people on the planet”? Honestly that’s news to me.

Jennie did the spirit tunnel and, as they do, her song “Mantra” was customised for her hallway walk.
