Skims has hit the nail on the head once again with the Patrick Schwarzenegger, and they included his fiancée Abby Champion for their bridal collection.
This isn’t the first time Skims has capitalised off of The White Lotus; last season it was Simona Tabasco and Beatrice Grannò for Valentine’s Day. Using another cast member, but not in the same way as last time, is what sets Skims apart. The marketing team is excellent.
Thursdays are back in good graces of the TV gods thanks to The Pitt, a show that manages to be so serious but not in a way that makes you go “oh lighten up.” It is serious work! And the nurses gossiping at the desk in Tagalog? They are Mother, as the kids say. (Did you know Tagalog, spoken by millions of people, is not on Duolingo but High Valyrian, a made-up language from a book, is?).
The boy sh-t is going down in the DMs after Brian Austin Green posted a DM from Machine Gun Kelly. I don’t really understand MGK’s beef here – he wants Brian to stop asking when the baby is due and talking to TMZ. OK the TMZ part I get but also Brian kind of does need to know when the baby is due as he shares three children with Megan Fox and she is at the end of her pregnancy and will need time to rest and heal after the baby comes, so that takes custody coordination.
Project Runway is coming back with Heidi Klum and Nina Garcia as judges, joined by Law Roach. Christian Siriano will mentor.
Like The Voice, I feel like the faces rotate but always stay the same, if that makes sense. The addition of Law is enough to make me jump in for a few episodes, I’m curious to see what his critique style is.
Randall Park in the spirit tunnel: he started slow and finished strong! This is something you practice before you go, right? I’d Peter Krause it (make eye contact while saying hello to people as I slowly walk) or hire a choreographer, there’s no way I’m going in without a strategy. I don’t know if Uzo Aduba had a strategy but her walk was wonderful. Uzo and Randall star in The Residence, which is in the top 5 for Netflix this week and pretty much assured a second season. It’s on my weekend watch list.
