Daily Mail has Ben Affleck looking “tense” while smoking a cigarette, which is my favourite kind of Ben Affleck photo. But then they f-ck it up by equating the tenseness to Ana de Armas and Tom Cruise.

Ben and Ana were a COVID relationship that burned out pretty quickly. And Ana is one of the few exes that Ben didn’t appear to be on-and-off with. He was on-and-off with Gwyneth, he and Jennifer Garner had issues for years that he seemed to go back and forth during their marriage, he and Lindsay Shookus were unstable and then there’s JLo (no explanation needed). Ben seems to have trouble making a clean break, but not with Ana. Let the man drink his little iced coffees and stress smoke in peace.

The Beckham story continues today with a new report in US Weekly about how the friction is really between Victoria and Nicola (women, amirite?). This has always been the most consistent narrative but TMZ specifically stated that it is David who gives Brooklyn the business on the phone, and Victoria is the one who smooths things over, which Nicola finds “manipulative.” The David angle has been a bit lost in this because it strikes me that he would be the one most annoyed if Nicola was shading Victoria and Brooklyn was skipping family stuff. It’s not like Victoria is the only one who has held tight to the family unit; this is something David talks about frequently. If Brooklyn is defending his wife (which the comment section loves), isn’t David doing the same? 

The conversation around the brothers is shooting off in all different directions; to some, Brooklyn and Nicola have the high ground in not wanting to be around Kim, who Brooklyn dated very briefly while he was off-and-on with Chloë Grace Moretz. Kim also dated one of his friends; they were all teenagers at the time. Dating, especially at that age, has overlaps (I’m sure the same for any group, be it a theatre camp or med school). Some people are adamant about never being in the same room as their exes ever again, while others don’t have that rule. Just like the mother-in-law drama, this is very layered with personal experience.

The Yellowstone universe is expanding with a new series led by Luke Grimes who played Kayce, a hot rancher with a whole lotta nothing going on up top. I do wonder if this means that the Beth/Rip spin-off is not happening? It’s a big umbrella, it’s not necessarily one or the other but interesting that this made it to production first as the fan demand for that couple is so high. 

There are some rare negative headlines about Kelly Clarkson in regards to her Las Vegas ticket sales. First off, leave Kelly alone. Second, this isn’t about Kelly. It is about the exorbitant ticket prices for every artist. It is completely out of hand and not economically feasible to ask people to spend hundreds (and in Vegas, factor in travel for many – so make that thousands) for a few hours. Add to that, Vegas is in a slump. The fact that spending a paycheque (or more!) for a single ticket is normalized is nuts.
