Rebel Wilson got married and it was a very splashy event in Italy. The photos are up at Vogue. This is some kind of timing because news about her lawsuit against The Deb producers dropped on October 3 – they sued her for defamation, she is suing them for bullying and sexual harassment.

It’s  messy and I would usually say this will quietly settle out of court but Rebel doesn’t seem like the settling kind; she took Aussie tabloids to court over allegations she lied about her age (she won big, but the judgement was appealed) and in this case, she’s been posting pretty regularly on social media with names. It seems like a game of legal chicken. 

Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton are fine (I don’t know where this stuff comes from) but I want to point out her leopard nails. I found her manicurist’s account for a close-up. Now I could never rock this (I get manicures but like to keep my nails as short as possible, I get a squick if they get too long). 

Leopard is everywhere, it is the go-to print. Remember the silk leopard print skirts from the summer of 2019? (Note from Emily - Gwen's been rocking this look since the mid-nineties!) It’s happening again but now it’s leopard-all-over. I’m not a big animal print person but I did buy a pair of leopard jeans on impulse (which I try really hard to resist!) – maybe I’ll review them for As Seen on Social Media.

The Sussexes are combating a new round of British tabloids about them growing apart, taking the offensive in PEOPLE with this story. This is clearly a thought-out response because no one is calling a marriage a “twin-track” off the top of their head. Harry and Meghan have struggled a lot with messaging and this “together but independent” approach works: Meghan is an entrepreneur and Harry is a philanthropist. It’s definable and easily digestible, which is critical for a brand (and yes, they are a brand – the royals are arguably the first family brand). It also sets the stage for next steps. It’s been over a year since Meghan’s team launched the Instagram account so if anyone is under pressure to get things moving, it’s her.
