Chelsea Handler has just signed a brand new multi-year contract that will keep her on the air through 2012 with more projects in the works as well. Chelsea Lately first launched on E! in 2007 and has been steadily building viewership, now boasting more young viewers in the coveted 18-34 demographic than Kimmel, Craig Ferguson, and Carson Daly.
One day, hopefully, Chelsea > Oprah.
At least Chelsea tells it like it is… more so than her peers.
She’s called Katie Holmes a robot, Ebola Hilton a skank whore, and as you can see in the clip below, Dina Lohan a parent pimp. There’s not enough of Chelsea on tv. But Chelsea can’t go daytime. Because then the MiniVan will latch on to her. That’s when Chelsea will cease being cool. Like Carrie Bradshaw without the cussing.
