The thing about Conan O’Brien is he is adaptable. When the whole The Tonight Show debacle went down, he could have easily made bitterness his whole act but it’s just a blip now. And it’s part of why his Subway Takes interview is so funny, because he’s able to lean into how this era of ‘doing random stuff’ celebrity interviews has taken over from his old job with the couch, the big desk and the band. He can make a joke and a point and it never feels forced.
That said, who is the woman who went toe-to-toe with Conan? We need her on his podcast. Her timing is incredible, off the cuff like that!
Sunday Rose Kidman-Urban covers Vogue Germany this month. There’s a lot of talk about nepo baby actors but I’m always floored by how many start as models, the list is endless. And the publications don’t shy away from it, they squeezed her parents’ name into a caption about birdwatching.
For some reason, Vogue is really into birdwatching right now. American Vogue has a new story by writer Heidi Julavits about her trip to Maine, and a photoshoot that includes an ornithologist. Sunday Rose is in this as well.
The next Victoria Beckham x Gap drop is Friday morning and it looks good. I bought a white denim shirt and the jacket from her last drop, the quality is solid.
The Glee reboot is officially a go at Disney/Hulu. I’m actually scared of what Ryan Murphy cooks up here. And it seems like he’s moving forward with it solo and co-creators Brad Falchuck and Ian Brennan aren’t involved.
Janet Jackson’s layered bob is so good. A cunty bob is great because it’s severe but this bob is great because it moves and when I think of Janet Jackson, I think of her dancing. She’s not on tour but she has one show in Florida in mid-December, which will be filmed for a concert special to celebrate the 40th anniversary of her album Control.
