The Housewives take The Hollywood Reporter, a pretty big moment. I don’t think anyone could have predicted the cultural and ratings longevity of this franchise.

And when we talk about the Housewives cultural impact, Nene Leakes is front-and-center. She had the best one-liners (“Oh, not a white refrigerator”), the best confessionals, the GIFs that are still in constant circulation. She was one of the first to cross over, out of reality TV. The fallout with Bravo was messy and involved a lawsuit but she is back with a cameo on Ultimate Girls Trip. I bet no one is more excited about this than Andy Cohen.

Nara Smith used her appearance on Call Her Daddy to pivot away from the trad wife label (I think influencers realize that trend is wrung out) and appeared in a video for Goop’s new body wash. What’s interesting about this is that Goop doesn’t use celebrity endorsements because they have positioned Gwyneth Paltrow as the end-all, be-all arbiter of taste (which makes sense, it is her company). So I wonder why they are pivoting to influencers now?

Zoe Saldaña has spoken highly of working with Taylor Sheridan and Nicole Kidman on Lioness and it seems to be a project that gets a lot of Sheridan’s personal attention. Which is interesting because his bread and butter is the Yellowstone universe and Dutton Ranch had its share of bumps. But for Dutton Ranch and Marshals, Sheridan only served as an executive producer, giving up control to writers, directors and showrunners. He’s also handed off Mayor of Kingstown. But he’s stayed on with Landman (starring Billy Bob Thornton and Demi Moore). Anti-Hollywood, loves a movie star though.

This is like asking for multiple fandoms to scream at me but I appreciated this take on the pop giants of right now.

The Peltz-Beckhams are yachting in France with Elton John and David Furness, which used to be a Beckham activity. People may point to this as Elton taking sides, and maybe he is, but even before the fallout, Elton, David and Victoria hadn’t vacationed together in years. So whatever the beef is, I think it predates the wedding from hell.
