I wrote about the Beckhams in France this morning and Cruz posted a TikTok (since taken down) in the car. The caption was ““Imagine hating and we’re just here like”.

Cruz is the chaos monster in this family, for sure. You know David and Victoria are on high alert lol.

Sydney Sweeney is launching her lingerie line tomorrow and, online, her reputation is iffy, but I don’t think that will be what makes or breaks this. Jessica Simpson launched her line in 2005 and she was a pop culture punchline at the time – her music career had fizzled, her acting was not exactly celebrated. She was very famous though and more important than that, her brand hit the right price point and incorporated with what was, then, the best retail options (the Jessica Simpson line took over sections in brick-and-mortar department stores). Sydney’s line has its first drop tomorrow and the website is creating a wait list. That is for the first drop, then it will likely move to Amazon (because of the Bezos connection). Prices aren’t specified, but it’s “under $100”. That could mean $10 or $99. If we are looking at a competitor like Savage x Fenty Lingerie, two bras are $29US right now.

I love that Martha Stewart’s granddaughter wrote that to her, and I love that Martha didn’t get defensive.

This is a very interesting media interaction: should Anthony Hopkins decline to answer a question about family estrangement when his book is partly about family estrangement? (For what it’s worth, the interviewer David Marchese sticks with it and Anthony answers; a less experienced celebrity may have retreated out of intimidation.)

A few weeks back Lainey mentioned Rachel Zoe on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. She’s been pretty good on a season that, so far, is an absolute snooze. But she doesn’t look like she is there to fight, so that works for her as well. And a whole new group of people is falling in love with her style, which could be a force multiplier for her business. If she does two or three seasons and gets out, she will make the most of it the same way Jenna Lyons and Garcelle Beauvais did.
