Demi Moore usually wears her hair down. It’s long and silky, one of the keys to her overall aesthetic. So when she does wear her hair back and up, it’s always noteworthy, at least to me. Because it doesn’t happen all that often. I mean, not as infrequently as Jennifer Aniston, but maybe two or three times a year?

Here she is at the Glamour Women of the Year event in New York last night with her hair in a half-middle part ponytail.

An excellent ponytail. All the better to show off this sick outfit, f-ck me up I love it so much. Balenciaga by new creative director Pierpaolo Piccioli – a bloused strapless top over trousers and white opera gloves which… by the way… is a high degree of difficulty. Opera gloves can often look cheap and sloppy. The material of these opera gloves, though, give it structure, so that they’re not scrunching all over the place like hosiery. So this isn’t just great design, it’s great styling by Brad Goreski who crushed it through the last award season with Demi. Not sure if he has a client that will be a contender this year, but I hope so, because otherwise I will miss his work.

What else happened today…

Sequel news is usually met with WHYYYY?! Let it alone! But this news about a sequel is not making people angry, at least I haven’t seen it. The fact that both of the original stars are returning and at this stage of their careers – as Oscar winners! – it’s pretty f-cking great. It’s Brendan Fraser and Rachel Weisz. (Pajiba)

Kristen Stewart attended a Chanel party wearing the most casual Chanel set you can imagine. She looks like a teenager who was told to come downstairs to greet the guests in her pyjamas. I don’t hate it, if there’s anyone who can make this look work, it’s her. (Go Fug Yourself)

Tom Brady’s dog is his old dog. And I love Nora Princiotti’s thesis here, relating the cloning of his dog to his inability to age gracefully. That said, I have to call myself out here where dogs are concerned because I love our dogs so much, I can’t deny that I haven’t thought about whether or not I would want to clone them. They’re so precious and they give us so much and it’s always so hard to let them go. (The Ringer)

We can never get enough Manny Jacinto. We need more Manny Jacinto. Manny Jacinto can’t quite believe that we want this much Manny Jacinto. (Celebitchy)
