As I’ve been saying for a while now... this is the movie I’m waiting for. More than The Dark Knight Rises, more than anything else, even Les Miserables, it’s Django Unchained. Advance footage from the film, opening in December, was screened in Cannes. In comparison this trailer is... alright. But I promise you it’s not even close to what you’ll get in the theatre. It’s also not The Help. Per my post last week, Django looks to be vintage Tarantino, crazy and vain enough to address race relations in a way that’s uncomfortably closer to the truth than we’re willing to admit.

How’s that for a perfect way to spend your Christmas Day?
