The K-pop Girls on the awards circuit
Let’s catch up with the girls of Kpop Demon Hunters because they’ve been booked and busy the last few days.
Last week EJAE, Audrey Nuna, and Rei Ami performed at the Jingle Ball in red and white and it was holiday and style inspiration because I am definitely recreating all of these hairstyles.
All three of them were also at the Variety Hitmakers brunch on the weekend. That was after Kpop Demon Hunters was nominated for two Critics Choice Awards and the movie just earned three more this morning when the Golden Globe nominations were announced. And it’s not that we needed any more confirmation about how big the film is but I was just at CCXP in São Paulo and there was a lot of Kpop Demon Hunters cosplay happening. Also the soundtrack was playing nonstop through in the expo. The story and the songs are popping all around the world. For EJAE it was the best birthday weekend.
@varietymagazine Audrey Nuna and Rei Ami wish #EJAE a Happy Birthday and joke that she’s during 21: “I can drink today!” #KPopDemonHunters Variety Hitmakers 2025

Huntr/x wasn’t the only K-pop representation at the Variety event. Rosé received the Global Hitmaker of the Year award and is also in contention at the Grammys with “APT.” Record of the Year and Song of the Year are two of the big four Grammy categories, and the track was so huuuge last year, it’s no surprise that Rosie is out here campaigning, as she should. Which means attending events like this and making appearances among other nominees but also in red carpet assistance. Law Roach styled her for the first time at this and used his signature caption – “and then this happened”:
I can’t imagine this will only happen once…? If this working relationship continues, what will Rose #styledbyLAW look like at the Grammys?!
What else happened today…
Anya Taylor-Joy’s final outfit in Marrakech but not Dior but Tom Ford, a first time for her. (Go Fug Yourself)
The film adaptation of Freida McFadden’s The Housemaid is expected to make some noise at the box office – which Amanda Seyfried will benefit from and which Sydney Sweeney desperately needs. Here’s Kayleigh Donaldson on how the book took over BookTok. (Pajiba)
The Ringer counts down the top 10 movies of 2025 and, unlike Rolling Stone, they did not omit Sinners. As for the film in the top position, this echoes what Sarah wrote earlier in her post about the Golden Globes and Jafar Panahi’s momentum for the Oscars, and not just in one category. (The Ringer)
Princess Charlene and Albert released their Christmas card. There’s been a lot less drama about this royal couple over the last year or so. No more stories about her trying to quit the life. And yes, the MVP in this photo is the dog. (Celebitchy)
Vulture just ranked every George Clooney movie and even though Out of Sight makes the top three, I would put it in first place, I said what I said! (Vulture)
