Elizabeth Olsen’s strategic lunch

While hanging out during TIFF, Lainey and I were talking about paparazzi photos, and I said that ever since taking over editing the site on Fridays, I’ve really come to appreciate the celebrities who get their picture taken when they have trailers and new movies, etc, dropping. It’s good business for us to have fresh photos to go with trailer previews, or with full reviews, and since I’ve started editing, I always notice the ones who make sure we have those photos when it’s time to talk about their work. Case in point: Elizabeth Olsen in LA yesterday.

She’s currently starring in His Three Daughters, which is now in limited theaters before hitting Netflix next week. She stepped out for lunch at All Time yesterday, which is a very popular restaurant in Los Feliz. It’s also a place you can count on paparazzi. There are, of course, people who will say it’s a coincidence, that maybe she just really wanted one of All Time’s salads, and sure, yeah. Could be. But also, people who are famous KNOW where they’re going to be photographed. Los Feliz is a lower key neighborhood in Los Angeles, but All Time is a regular hot spot. Elizabeth Olsen is famous enough to know she’d be likely to be photographed there.

But it’s not bad! This is not criticism! I genuinely appreciate that she’s feeding the ecosystem with new photos while she’s in the midst of a Netflix movie launch. For those of us who will be writing about the film, there are now recent photos to tag on posts. Everyone wins in this situation. So thank you, Elizabeth Olsen, for going to lunch at the one east side restaurant guaranteed to be staked out by paparazzi.
