There is a lot happening here. Ordinarily I’d think too much. (SO weird, I’m streaming an episode of Veronica Mars while writing this article and Alyson Hannigan just said the name Evan Rachel Wood. For real.)
Anyway, between the sequins and all those feathers, it’s a lot to pull off. Especially, um, you know, for someone who was sitting on the second level. And yet, I feel like she managed to mute it. In her favour.
Picture this dress on Lea Michele. The sequins would be louder, the feathers longer, fluffier, the overall effect much bigger, screamingly brighter.
The way Evan Rachel Wood is wearing it though, I mean the gown isn’t necessarily any less spectacular, but it’s also not offensively blazing. Am I crazy?
