Celebrate Severance
Severance season two has come to an end, and everyone has opinions. Mine is that you should email me about it so as not to do spoilers on main. Unquestionably, though, Severance is Apple TV+’s biggest hit since Ted Lasso, and the most HBO show to never air on HBO. It is meticulously crafted, impeccably acted, and mostly well written (again, hit me up for Opinions). When Emmy time rolls around this summer, it will undoubtedly be a juggernaut.
To celebrate the end of season two, the cast, director Ben Stiller, and series creator Dan Erickson opened PaleyFest on Friday night. Milkshake himself, Tramell Tillman, opened the event with the USC marching band:

I love Tramell Tillman’s story. He worked a non-profit job for over a decade and didn’t land his first role until age thirty in 2015’s Difficult People as “good Samaritan”. Now, he’s a breakout star in one of the hottest shows on streaming/TV, and this summer he’ll appear in Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning. It’s never too late to chase your dreams!
Also, there is a whole discourse about Adam Scott’s hotness. I thought we all knew he was hot from his Ben Wyatt days. Like that moment when he winked at the camera when the accounts were celebrating him? That nerd could get it.

Finally, Apple TV+ confirmed that Severance will have a third season. Good. I don’t think the season two finale works unless they pay some stuff off in another season. This feels like a Pinocchio story—season one is the workshop, season two is the blue fairy, and season three is maybe hopefully the journey. I have tentative Lost feelings about Severance. I’m not entirely convinced they’re going to land the plane. We’ll see.
