Flo P at Harris Reed
London fashion week has begun, and yesterday Florence Pugh opened Harris Reed’s runway show with a monologue commanding the audience to “be vulnerable”, “be chaotic”, and “always, always be yourself” while wearing a partially sheer gown with giant shoulders and eyelashes.
Flo is a friend and muse of Harris Reed, having previously opened his fall/winter show in 2023, and has worn his designs on major red carpets such as the BAFTAs. It’s a good collaboration, more interesting, I think, than her Valentino partnership. There was that amazing sheer pink gown, and everything after that felt like chasing that high. With Harris Reed, though, every look feels fresh.
Anyway, Flo was photographed after the show in a warm-looking grey trench. It’s been so cold this week, I’m obsessed with the mere appearance of warmth. We’ll be seeing a lot of Miss Flo in a few months when the Thunderbolts* press tour gets underway. Honestly, I can’t wait to see the Yelena-inspired fits Flo and her stylist, Rebecca Corbin-Murray, put together. Theme dressing has grown tiresome, but Flo has a way of matching the tone of the film without looking like she’s wearing a costume. Between her, Sebastian Stan, and the lowkey stylish Lewis Pullman, it should be a good press tour.
