Omega is the official timekeeper of the Olympics so there was a whole partnership event this weekend in Italy as the brand brought in several of its ambassadors to maximise their presence at the Games. George Clooney has been affiliated with Omega for years and, of course’s he’s almost an Italian citizen at this point. Plus, well, his schedule might be a bit more free now since he’s no longer contending during award season.

George was with Amal for House Omega opening night. Marisa Tomei, another Oscar winner, was also in town as a guest of Omega. And I quite enjoy her stirrup pants genie look for the occasion.

And also… Park Bo-gum, who provoked the biggest fan reaction outside the event, demonstrating once again the reach of Korean dramas and their stars which, as an influential player in the industry, George has to be aware of. He certainly would have been aware of Bo-gum’s popularity given how he was received by the fans who were camped out for a glimpse of K-beauty, the concept of it and the personification in the form of Park Bo-gum. Because, like, look at him.

You know how we know that George really got a good look at him? Pardon George’s unfortunate choice of words here but the first thing out of his mouth when Bo-gum came up on stage with him was basically, OMG how can someone actually look like this, LOL.

Seriously, next time someone has a microphone in George’s face can we please ask him about Park Bo-gum’s face?!

What else happened today…

This article was shared over at our daily chat at The Squawk – how Bad Bunny recruited a historian to help him with the Benito Bowl. (University of Wisconsin-Madison)

Kathleen’s piece about artists and what Nina Simone believed to be their duty to “reflect the times”. Bad Bunny has consistently done this his entire career. And, others, as she points out, have made excuses not to. (Refinery 29)

Teyana Taylor wore white at the Santa Barbara Film Festival this weekend and I would love a documentary about her award season wardrobe and how she’s ranking and choosing her looks, which ones she’s holding for the bigger events that are still coming up, like the SAGs and the BAFTAs and, of course, the Oscars. (Go Fug Yourself)

Jon Hamm, aka Juan Jamón, aka Bad Bunny’s biggest fan, was also at the Benito Bowl. (Pajiba)

Miss Piggy is sharing her beauty tips – she has help, even though she doesn’t need it because her beauty is eternal and natural, OK? Piggy is sitting down for interviews with Kermit and credit to him because he doesn’t do anything foolish here to piss her off. If anything goes south, obviously, it’s always his fault. (Celebitchy)
