This is what I meant all those weeks ago when I said I was anxious about Gladys Knight being the Bee on The Masked Singer. SHE CAME IN THIRD. It’s what happens when you leave things up to the “people”. The people don’t know sh-t!
How are you putting Gladys Knight – THE Gladys Knight – IN THIRD PLACE?!!
She was gracious about it, obviously. And Nick Cannon straight up asked her… why are you even on this show? Gladys said it was about trying new things and being open to possibilities and I appreciate that but I’ll never be over the fact that she LOST A SINGING COMPETITION, f-ck!
How did I get so invested in this show that was supposed to be entertainment self-care “super soft TV” for me and in the end it just sent me back into pure rage?! I have no answers for this but I already know I’m watching the second season, GOD HELP ME.
Given how successful the first season has been, I wonder what kind of talent they’ll attract for the follow-up. I wonder if somebody out there is all like, well, if Gladys Knight did it, I should totally do it too. Vulture dreamcasted it a couple of weeks ago. You know who’s missing there? Lindsay Lohan. That’s as much of a possibility as Tara Reid.
