Gwyneth Paltrow’s been making headlines lately and her double date this past weekend was probably not high on the list of why people were talking about her but I’ll use it as my way in. She and Brad Falchuk met up with Jennifer Meyer and her billionaire fiancé Geoffrey Ogunlesi for lunch at a private club in Montecito. They look like they’re surveying the place for an event.

In other Gwyneth news, she’s being criticised for comments she made in her recent Vanity Fair cover story when she talks about brushing off the intimacy coordinator for her love scenes with Timothée Chalamet in Marty Supreme. GP was namechecked on a panel about sex in film and television by British television executive Caroline Hollick who called GP’s remarks “irresponsible”.

Gwyneth isn’t the only one though. Jennifer Aniston last year also had the same attitude about intimacy coordinators when she was promoting The Morning Show and specifically referencing her love scenes with Jon Hamm. And the attitude here between Gwyneth and Jen is similar – oh we’re from the old school, we don’t need to be so precious about it. You know who would never though? Nicole Kidman, who has upheld the value of intimacy coordinators, most recently in support of Babygirl.

And then, where Gwyneth is concerned, there’s the Meghan Markle of it all. That’s the been the biggest headline the last few days. Which I address in my most recent newsletter for The Squawk, just published today. Click here to subscribe and read.

What else happened today…

Speaking of sex in movies and television, Michelle Williams will be starring in the “Kinkiest Show on TV”Dying for Sex premieres next week and Michelle covers NY Magazine to promote her role as a woman who is getting as horny as she can before her life is over, imminently. Please note that intimacy coordinators were present on set and they were not undermined by the lead actor. (Vulture)

A few days late on this but Kathleen’s piece on Paradise and its chokehold on us… and I don’t mean to insert myself in her article but, like, all I’ve been doing for weeks is all-caps texting her about this show. It’s SOOOOO good. (Refinery 29)

Elizabeth Olsen is telling Dakota Johnson that she’s not the only one who can pull off this hairstyle and now I can’t decide who does it better. (Go Fug Yourself)

Mike Meyers is once again making a public statement about Trump’s obsession with Canada. I would also like to say that I very much admire how evenly silver Mike’s hair is. (Pajiba)

Sydney Sweeney might be single which… she’s 27 years old, got engaged just as she was on the ascent. If her relationship with Jonathan Davino is over, this can’t be a surprise. (Celebitchy)
