I got an email this morning from a reader called Kate who wanted me to get the scoop on Gwyneth Paltrow’s wedding being called off because Brad Falchuk was over it. There is no scoop. The wedding has not been called off. Because the source for that story is Star Magazine. Please don’t make me explain any more than that. It’s a waste of my time and your time. There will be a wedding. So if you want to talk about that…

As Page Six previously reported, the wedding is happening in the Hamptons “at the end of the summer, after Labour Day”. I mean, there are only so many weekends left in September so it’s soon. And the formal, pretty traditional invitations, like with fancy cursive print, went out a while ago. And it’s an entire weekend of events, about as conventional of a wedding weekend as you can imagine. So the question isn’t going to be whether or not it’s happening, the question is what will happen at the wedding. G hasn’t ever planned a wedding. She and Chris Martin were married in a hotel room, no fuss. Which is probably why she’s making it so basic, even down to the font. If we’re talking wedding traditions then, who will give her away?

There were some rumours started by some sh-tty tabloids a few months ago that she wanted Chris to do it since she now considers him a “brother”. What those publications forgot, however, is that G has a real brother, Jake. And that since her dad isn’t with them anymore, Jake would be the most obvious choice. This is my prediction. You?
