Hailey & Zoë: Half of a Power Quartet

Hailey Bieber and Zoë Kravitz met up for dinner last night at Sushi Park in LA which is seemingly where they all only ever go. They’ve been friends a long time – Zoë, like Gigi Hadid, is one of those who can straddle friend groups, between Taylor Swift on one side and the Kardashian-Jenners and the people who orbit them on the other side. Hailey and Zoë, though, have multiple layers of connection, not just with their friends, but also their brand association as both are Saint Laurent ambassadors. 

There’s now something else they have in common: they are the romantic partners of two of mega popstars, Justin Bieber and Harry Styles. While we’re here, though, it’s been a minute since we’ve had an update on Zoë and Harry. As of last week, they were together; seems like she’s been spending a lot of time with him in Italy. There were photos and video of them on social media walking around earlier this week.

And here they were last weekend just casually moving around the city. 

Zoë’s experience with Harry probably isn’t quite as deranged as what Hailey has to deal with but it’s likely not too far off, considering the intensity of Harry’s fans. So if ever there were two people who could relate to each other, it’s these women, with their own careers, successful in their own right, but in love with men who come with their own parasocial community.

Hailey turns 29 tomorrow after what’s been a blockbuster year with e.l.f. Beauty acquiring Rhode for a billion dollars and then Rhode becoming the biggest launch in Sephora history. There was a party last night to celebrate her birthday and, of course, her products were featured all over the place, including the lip case, with a note on Instagram that more sizes and colours are coming. This lip case for the peptide, probably the signature product, is pretty f-cking smart.
