Harry Styles was seen in LA last night and according the pap who took these photos, it was a “dinner date” with a “mystery girl”. I’m not quite sure who the “mystery girl” is because there are two women – one in red and the other in a white top and jeans so why don’t we just leave it at the fact that Harry had a meal with some friends.
In other Harry news, he was filming recently in Italy and apparently it was the “Golden” video. “Golden” is the first track off of Fine Line, his smash hit album, one of the biggest albums of the last twelve months and it’s not even a year old. Fine Line came out December 2019 which means it was not eligible for last year’s Grammys, which means it’s definitely eligible for this year’s Grammys, and a lot of people think it’s a strong contender for Album of the Year. I don’t need to tell you how popular “Adore You” and “Watermelon Sugar” are. And it’s not a matter of IF Harry will be nominated but how many. For months now he’s factored in all the predictions in multiple categories – and it’s the coveted categories too: the aforementioned Album of the Year, but also Song of the Year and Record of the Year. Harry Styles has never been nominated for a Grammy. That’s going to change very soon.
So to bring it back to “Golden”, releasing the video during the nomination and voting process is a good way to remind voters of the strength of the album. Also, it’s just a really great jam. A great driving song, which is how he’s described it – top down along the Pacific Coast Highway. And if you don’t have a convertible, and you’re not by the sea, it works too, past corn fields and farm land, or as the strip malls in the suburbs flash by your periphery, and especially as you’re speeding down a viewless section of the highway. I love this song. I can’t wait for the official video.
