I wouldn’t exactly call myself a fan of Harry Styles so much as I would call him my future husband, and it’s no secret that I adore his style and his constant f-ck you to the gender binary. To Harry Styles, there isn’t a masculine or feminine way of dressing. There’s just fashion. And it’s so sexy that I can’t handle it right now.
A few days ago, the British magazine Beauty Papers released their latest issue called REVOLUTION that featured Harry Styles.

These pictures are everything. So much so that the site actually broke from the amount of traffic it received after the issue was released.
Beautiful People, our website as you know, is down due to an overwhelming response. Please hold tight... Thank you.

I can’t say I know this from experience, but I feel like it’s actually pretty hard to pull off fishnets in any outfit, let alone one where they’re the only thing you have on. If there is anyone who can pull it off though, it’s Harry Styles. But while fishnets and Gucci shoes are definitely a look, they’re not the sexiest part of this shoot (although those thighs might be….) What’s sexy is the relaxed confidence that Harry exudes in these photos. Here’s some of the other pictures from the issue:

The poses. The high drama. The over-the-top makeup. That’s the confidence of someone who knows who they are and doesn’t really care what you think of it.
Earlier this month, Duana and Lainey did a Show Your Work episode on Harry Styles and how the fact that he doesn’t try to distance himself from his past makes him even more likeable and attractive. As Duana put it, “He’s not so hungry that he lets it get in the way of his chill.” His comfort with who he is and where he comes from flows into his music and his charisma, allowing him to be simultaneously super chill and a superstar.
Did you catch his Tiny Desk concert (TDC) earlier this week? NPR’s accompanying description shares a similar outlook.
“Styles might not necessarily be the first name that comes to mind when you think of public radio's only working, desk-music-discovery platform… But beyond the headlines, Styles has proven to be an artist who takes his songcraft and aesthetic seriously, interested in subverting expectations of what a pop star can and should sound like in 2020.”
NPR calls it his “unpretentious creativity” and that quality is honestly sexier than any number of fishnet photoshoots (although it’s definitely a close call).
I’m obsessed with this TDC, especially the acoustic version of “Watermelon Sugar”. The arrangements and the set that Harry chose for the Tiny Desk concert were perfect. Notice how in “Adore You” he opts to hit lower notes instead of belting out some of the lines like he would in a large concert hall. The man knows how to perform for his audience. It’s actually the perfect type of concert for everyone right now. Maybe NPR needs to host some live Tiny Desk concerts so we can all pretend like Harry Styles is in our living rooms while we self-isolate.
This performance is likely to promote Harry’s Love On Tour coming up. It’s scheduled to start on April 15th but strangely, even though many events have been cancelled due to coronavirus, I haven’t seen any announcements about Harry’s. I have tickets to see him in August so I’m hoping that by then, our global outlook will look a lot better. (For the sake of everyone, I hope that happens much, much sooner.) But until then, I have Tiny Desk Harry to comfort me. And provide me with my favourite GIF ever:
Harry, you’re doing amazing sweetie.
