Heated Rivalry Saint Laurent

Connor Storrie was wearing Saint Laurent when he presented with Hudson Williams at the Golden Globes a few weeks ago. And he was in Paris last night at the Saint Laurent show. Wearing the f-ckingggg sh-tttt out of this tan suit and the yellow blouse and the sleeves rolled up with the bronze tie tucked in…

That’s how the ties were worn on the runway and on several of the celebrities – see also Lee Chae-min, in a dusty pink shirt with an oxblood tucked tie, and this is just too pretty.

 It was a breakout year for Chae-min in 2025 with the worldwide success of Bon Appétit, Your Majesty. It’s a rom-com but also a foodie-com, a great scripted companion to Culinary Class Wars and also another example of the “transmigration” trope that I posted about last week at The Squawk. (For context, transmigration is theorised to be how Emerald Fennell is handling her film, Wuthering Heights.)

Back to the ties though, Charlie Hunnam had his tie tucked too. I can’t ever remember seeing Charlie at PFW, I think this might actually be his first time. Charlie was also in Saint Laurent at the Globes and has worn it often, though he’s not an official ambassador. He was seated with Rami Malek and Austin Butler at the show.

Austin has long been associated with Saint Laurent, no surprise to see him there. The surprise is in the hair. It’s wavy and tousled, it’s giving elf-boy and a little c-nty… is this the Connor Storrie effect?

Connor wasn’t the only Heated Rivalry cast member at the show. François Arnaud and Robbie G.K. were there too, both of them in black leather with white shirts. Like a couples of outfit in honour of their characters, Scott and Kip.

Speaking of couples though…

Connor and François have been seen together a lot over the last couple of months. And there’s been speculation about their relationship, which neither has directly addressed. In today’s open about Rosé, I mentioned parasocial relationships, the toxic behaviour by those who claim to be fans of a popstar or actors from hit television show but who impose restrictions on the choices that those people make in their personal lives.

As a result of all this popularity, and people’s obsession with Hollanov, François has been the target of some bullsh-t for weeks online. And it’s not just the garden variety death threats, it’s also the kind of speculation that isn’t immediately dangerous but still disturbing in its own way, and it all stems from the fact that they want Hudson and Connor to be together IRL so bad, any obstacle to that fantasy is seen as an enemy. This also happened, and continues to happen, with the “Larry” truthers – the One Direction fans who persist in believing that Louis Tomlinson and Harry Styles are secretly together. To be honest, I just chuckled, because it’s so f-cking stupid to be carrying on like this for this long but it’s probably not always funny to them when the people they are truly involved with are subjected to all the f-ckery that goes down in the comments.

The good news, though, is that these cast members and friends remain close. They’re still travelling together, partying together, serving together. I wonder, at this point, if they miss the anonymous cocoon they were in when they were filming.

Speaking of filming…

Connor was seen with Luca Guadagnino in Paris the other day. Luca’s been working on his reboot of American Psycho and, interestingly enough, Austin Butler’s been rumoured to take over the role of Patrick Bateman made famous by Christian Bale. Additional casting has not been confirmed. It’ll be interesting to see, when they finally announce the film is heading into production, whether or not Connor is part of the cast. That said, Luca has several projects in development, including Camere Separate or Separate Rooms, a queer love story. Josh O’Connor was initially attached but had to drop out. Connor Storrie for Josh O’Connor? That’s a possibility too.
