How legit are the rumours that Timothée Chalamet was busted with actress Anamaria Vartolomei?

Timothée Chalamet has been in Paris this week promoting Marty Supreme. There was a premiere, an after-party, and also a pop-up, and he attracted large crowds at each event. Because, of course, he is a movie star but also, in France, they consider him at least half of their own given his French background.

Today, however, Timmy is making headlines that aren’t to do with his work or culture. Photos of him with a woman who resembles actress Anamaria Vartolomei have been circulating online and the paps are suggesting that Timmy and Ana seemed to panic when they were seen together and went out of their way after they were photographed to stay hidden.

These are the pictures they’re using to sell the story, which quickly went viral.

So now the internet is reading into maybe-Anamaria’s body language and whether or not she looked uncomfortable, whether or not they both looked like they knew they got busted… and of course layered on top of that Video Assumption (our favourite game of baseless conclusions) is good old fashioned gossip thirst – because if Timmy and Anamaria are actually dealing with each other, it obviously jeopardises his situation with Kylie Jenner. I’m sure I don’t have to tell you that there are many people out there who are actively rooting for the end of their relationship.

I mean, I love a good celebrity love mess but I’m not convinced this is that. Timmy Chalamet isn’t new, he’s well aware that he’s a heatscore everywhere he goes and especially in Paris. There is no shortage of paparazzi coverage of him these last few days – he knows they know where he’s staying, what his security looks like, what they’re driving, etc etc etc. That said, it does set up some intrigue for award season.

The Oscars nominees luncheon is next Tuesday so it’s likely that Timmy will be back in LA for that since he’s campaigning for Best Actor. Two weeks after that it’s the BAFTAs and, you’ll recall, she was with him at the BAFTAs last year when he was nominated for A Complete Unknown. The following week it’ll be the SAG Awards, which Kylie skipped last year but she did show up, with Timmy, in the front row at the Oscars. We’ll see whether or not she makes it two for two.

While Timmy was in Paris, Kylie made an appearance at Ulta Beauty with Kourtney Kardashian yesterday to promote a new drop. It’s Lemme x Kylie skin glaze gummies. I’m sure there’s a whole generation of people that this promo appeals to but it’s not me.

This is painful and also… is anyone seriously still buying Kylie?
