I had no idea that Khloe Kardashian used to be Nicole Richie’s assistant so while other people are being reminded, I was just informed. Is this something I need to retain though? (Dlisted)
I love plaid. And I wear a lot of plaid…and I’m currently looking for a pink/brown plaid combination sweatshirt… but I don’t have a plaid coat. Not totally sure I want one. I love a plaid-lined coat, but an all over plaid coat, I feel like I haven’t yet found one that has some edge to it. But #7, in this gallery, comes really close. I’m looking really hard at this rainbow plaid right here. (Go Fug Yourself)
Remember Amy Cooper? She’s the white woman who called the cops on Christian Cooper, a Black man, because he was asking her to follow the rules about leashing dogs in the park. Turns out she made two calls to the cops – the second to lie that he had assaulted her, information that is only coming out now. There is no good takeaway from this story, except that Christian Cooper continues to be excellent and his perspective on this update is the right one. (Cele|bitchy)
Media and fans and everyone… we all did Britney dirty. I’ve written before about how I used to blog about her mental health issues back in the mid-2000s and there’s a lot more that hasn’t aged well. Here’s a collection of interview clips of what she had to deal with – and these are questions and conversations that probably wouldn’t happen today. (OMG Blog)
Oh good God. It’s that time of year again when everybody talks about how much they love Hocus Pocus. What I’ve come to realise is that millennials love this movie so much. Emily, our site manager, is a millennial. And every year on this site when I write that I’ve never seen Hocus Pocus and have no interest, she’s on my ass about it, to the point where she sent me a DVD. Which I watched. For ten minutes. And …nope. Couldn’t do it. Anyway, here’s a Hocus Pocus appreciation post for those of you who are all about Hocus Pocus. The rest of us can skip it. (People)
