Dear Gossips,
My ETALK assignment yesterday was Bridgerton, as Nicola Coughlan and Luke Newton were in Toronto to promote season three. Part one dropped a couple of weeks ago and became the series’ best opening weekend and they’re hoping for similar results when part two releases on June 13.
“Polin”, which is what fans are calling Penelope and Colin, is popular, and the fan reaction last night at the screening confirmed it. The video below has been cut down so believe me when I tell you, the screaming went on for a while.
That was nearly 12 hours after I first interviewed Nicola and Luke, when they visited the ETALK set in the morning. After press commitments in the daytime they walked the carpet at the theatre in the evening before I introduced them for a quick interview ahead of the screening, which was then followed by a private cocktail where I hosted another little moment with them on the balcony at the Windsor Arms before they finished off the whirlwind programme with a toast.
And having had that much interaction with them I can now confirm that they are lovely and sweet and also SO beautiful. Check out Luke wearing the sh-t out of this Dior fit.
And Nicola’s wardrobe on this entire press tour has been breathtaking. Her dress last night was unreal, and custom:

In other Bridgerton news, Netflix revealed the trailer for part two yesterday and here comes the obstacle: can Polin survive the truth about Lady Whistledown?
Finally, the surprise delight of season three so far has been Cressida Cowper, right? Cressida’s hair and shoulders this season have been a scream. But the show has also given her more dimension. And now, as Cressida’s profile is rising, Jessica Madsen, the actor who plays her, is showing her Pride:
