Dear Gossips,

Independence Day, the movie, was on TV the other night with commercials. I stayed up way past my bedtime to watch it, even though I know almost every scene. Is it stupid and silly? Of course. But unlike some of the sh-t Michael Bay puts out, I can enjoy it without feeling dirty. Somehow Michael Bay has a way of making even mindless summer drivel so offensive. But how can you not love it when Will Smith and Jeff Goldblum strut through the desert at the end, cigars in their mouths, flush from victory after beating the aliens? Also, Jeff Goldblum has never been hotter.

PS. Haute Couture Week is happening in Paris right now. I’ve been posting some highlights from the runway all week in LifeStyle. As for the Stephane Rolland collection, I swear I didn’t like it even before I found out that Kanye West’s girlfriend was front row.
