Dear Gossips,

Big night for Bad Bunny at the Grammys, and we’ll get to our Grammys coverage shortly, but for him, this is only the beginning of what will be a huge week – because he is the main event (at least in my opinion) next Sunday at the Benito Bowl. He was Spotify’s top streamed artist of 2025, he is now the first Latin artist to win the Grammy for Album of the Year. And he will be watched by a massive audience in America and around the world when he takes the stage for 12 minutes in Santa Clara.

While it remains a mystery what Benito’s set will look and sound like, there are a few guarantees: he will represent Puerto Rico, beautifully; he will perform in Spanish, predominantly if not completely; and it will be a party, undeniably, because that is the Latino way. And he will be performing for Latinos around the world, which has increasingly been the NFL’s target audience. Bad Bunny is king. More on his night at the Grammys later but for now, if we’re talking about Sunday, while Benito will be the primary star attraction at his concert, there are a few other side stories – the game, sure, and also the commercials.

Ben Affleck will return with a new Dunkin’ ad, I guess it’s a tradition now, and as we’ve seen in years past, he has once again recruited a list of VIP guests to join him. The first time around it was Jennifer Lopez, Matt Damon, and Tom Brady. Last year he brought in his brother Casey, along with Jeremy Strong and Bill Belichick. This time he’s going 90s Must See TV on NBC: cast members from Friends and Seinfeld, Jennifer Aniston, Matt LeBlanc, and Jason Alexander.

So the theme is cringe, like dad cringe but also nostalgia cringe, something about an old tape from 1995 and… ugh… “six seven” might make an appearance. There was another teaser where he leans in hard to it:

When he says “this is the pinnacle”, all I can think of right now is Bridgerton, LOL, iykyk. So this is a steady gig for Ben and Artists Equity, his and Matt Damon’s company that benefits everyone involved in production. It’s a steady gig that gets people paid, including people who don’t necessarily need the money. But then again, none of them can turn down easy money, really. And it’s not much of a lift, at least it doesn’t seem like it. Jen showed up in a black t-shirt and jeans, and all she has to do is sit on a couch and listen to Ben’s verbal diarrhoea with only two lines of her own. I guess we’ll see on Sunday how much more involved the full spot will be – and who else might show up because I can’t imagine he’s not saving some kind of surprise.

Yours in gossip,

Lainey
