Bennifer: A Silent Anniversary

Yesterday marked the second anniversary of Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez’s “Midnight Trip to Vegas” where they were married at the Little White Wedding Chapel before their big wedding blowout in Georgia a month later. They were, however, on two separate coasts. 

Here’s JLo on a bike ride in the Hamptons where she’s been now for weeks, living up to what she said when she cancelled her tour – that she’d be taking downtime to spend with friends and family. Which, for her anyway, is kinda unusual because this woman is always working. In the past, she’s just hustled her way through her personal struggles, job after job, project after project. So I wonder how she’s experiencing this period in her life. 

As for the anniversary, there wasn’t even a mention on her socials. Which, as we know, is not our girl’s style, especially not when she’s happy. That said, over at The Squawk, in the daily chat yesterday, it was mentioned that JLo has been liking social media posts about how Ben is her one true love. I’m too lazy to go looking for this for confirmation so I’ll just focus on her ring, which she continues to wear. Whatever that means. 

He too is still wearing his, apparently, as he was photographed at the office. So the anniversary has come and gone, quietly, as we approach the next key date… her birthday a week today, she turns 55 years old. Last year she danced on a table with Ben at her side. It’s looking like it might be a lot more low-key this time.
