Jennifer Aniston is not known to experiment with her style, and that’s OK. Not everyone is a Zendaya or a Nicole Kidman. She has had a consistent uniform (blue jeans, tank tops, flip-flops, wedges) and a standard red carpet (favours black, will occasionally mix it up with white or champagne). She knows what works for her. If Jennifer Aniston showed up on a red carpet tomorrow with a pixie cut and wearing Erdem, I’d be like, oh she is going through it.

She wore a little black dress to the Colbert show (you can see it here) and while it’s in her wheelhouse, this Tom Ford Resort 2025 dress has a pretty distinct style. Drop waist, halter neck, low back, belt, flared skirt - this is a lot of elements for a mini dress. The design is quite balanced, though, particularly with her familiar styling. It feels classic and cool and a little off-kilter, in a good way. Lainey called it “flirty” and I agree.

This exact dress is $5600 on the Tom Ford website. There’s a halter mini from Aritzia or Reformation. But spiritually? This dress from SHUSHU/Tong is stirring something in me.

Amy Poehler’s podcast style

Amy Poehler’s podcast has been a huge hit right out of the gate and it makes sense; she has all of the skills needed for a great host. She’s a writer, she can verbally pivot, she can banter, she worked in live sketch comedy for years. Mostly, she’s a good listener.

I’ve been asked about her a few times because podcasts are now also mini TV shows (why?) so we can see what the host is wearing. I’m happy to answer because I LOVE a stripe. Maybe too much.

This shirt is from Clare V., you can see it here but it’s sold out. I’m familiar with Clare V. but don’t own a piece because they are always sold out. It’s crazy, I’ve tried to buy from them like six times and it is so limited. And it’s expensive, so I’m thinking long and hard before I pull the trigger. I will not be rushed into a $245 shirt! One thing that is fairly cool is that the site has its own resale section. I imagine this is quite a bit of work for the brand but as a shopper, I appreciate having the resale options in one place. You can browse those here

Alex Cooper, the style voice of a generation

You know what I kind of love about Alex Cooper? She’s highly influential but not really an influencer. Like she doesn’t tag her outfits or have a link tree in her bio. In this day in age that’s a bit chic, a little c-nty. I have a friend who texts me a few times every month asking me to find her fit, but this time it’s from a reader. These pants are the zebra print, wide-leg pull on pants from AG. Slouchy, easy, good for fall, not cheap. Also not easy to dupe because most zebra print comes in black and white. This brown zebra print is pretty hard to find and when it comes to animal print in general, if it’s not very very good, it’s very very ugly.
