Earlier today, I posted exclusive news about Jennifer Lawrence being the frontrunner to play Katniss in The Hunger Games. Click here for a refresher.

I also mentioned that Ben, during etalk's Oscar red carpet broadcast, very innocently asked Lawrence's mother what she's reading now. Mom read Winter's Bone years ago and thought Jennifer would be great in the part. She mentions that she just finished The Hunger Games. The etalk video has now been uploaded. And you can see Lawrence's reaction below.

As already noted - Liongate loves Lawrence, and I hear she read for Katniss and laid down a performance that was unforgettable. You all have been jamming up my inbox all morning about this. We will discuss further later today during the liveblog?
