Christmas is less than ten days away and in the gossip business it means, typically, that everything will be slowing down. 

 

And for the most part, even though celebrities can’t stand to not be in our faces, December is kinda a final opportunity for them to lay low and prep, if they need to, before award season. Because once January kicks in, it’s a full sprint, no warmup. The Golden Globes are on Sunday 5 January. That’s before a lot of normies even go back to work – so when I say they’ll be going undercover, they really do go undercover. Most of them. 

And then there’s Jennifer Lopez. To be clear, this is NOT a criticism, it is a compliment. JLo takes care of herself year-round, we know this, she’s famous for it. JLo doesn’t have to disappear for tweaks. Which is why, during what we are hoping is a fun-slow week in gossip (as in, yes, come outside and do some sh-t but can it please not be stressful, no one is in the goddamn mood!), JLo is serving new looks and giving us pap shots and gossip, THANK YOU. 

 

The biggest headline is that she, Jennifer Garner, and Ben Affleck were all at their kids’ recital this weekend. In the photos there doesn’t seem to be much interaction but the story here is that their children, Emme and Fin, clearly still have a relationship and as parents, they’re all showing up to support them. It’s cordial, it’s peaceful, so credit to the Jens for gracefully navigating what could have been a much more complicated situation. These two women understand each other on a level that we’ll never truly appreciate. 

 

So that was Saturday. Yesterday JLo stepped out for an Unstoppable screening in monochrome blue – a western coded blazer over a pretty blouse and jeans, and a Birkin to match. The only part of the fit that’s giving me cringe is the shoes. Mauve-ish velvet platform and I get it, they’re totally her, but they’re also so cheesy, I can’t. 

 

You know what I will live and die for though? I’m late to this but my GOD, the Chloe look she modelled on IG last week. Flip through this carousel for the full experience. 

 

This is where JLo and I intersect. High collar, volume volume volume… and SHORT. A glorified bed sheet moonlighting as lingerie. I would wear the sh-t out of this, I love it so much.
