The cast of Matchbox: The Movie was in New York last night for the premiere. John Cena, Sam Richardson, Arturo Castro, Teyonah Parris, and Jessica Biel have been making the press rounds lately and showed up on the red carpet. Matchbox is going straight to streaming on AppleTV on October 9.

Justin Timberlake was in town with Jessica for the event but, incredibly, did not pose with her on the red carpet and does not seem to have walked the carpet at all, so she was able to have her own moment without him trying to make it about himself. That might have been because he was on dad and uncle duty, accompanying one of his kids and Jessica’s niece to the event.

Otherwise maybe (probably) we’d see more of his usual main character energy and I say that because it’s actually time, or two days after the right time, since he and Jessica just celebrated their 14th wedding anniversary, which means I can repost this – their PEOPLE Magazine wedding cover in which he is, as usual, pulling focus…

… with the Britney inset, LOL forever.

Both Justin and Jessica have been pretty quiet the last couple of years. This is the first project she’s promoted in 2026 and it will likely be the only project of the year. She was last seen in the series The Better Sister in 2025 and has a couple of films that have been in development for a while. For him, it’s been two years since his last album, Everything I Thought It Was (which no one remembers because all we can remember is The Arrest that happened around the same time) with no word on any new music since. Last month he popped up at one of Jay-Z’s anniversary concerts in Paris but I feel like that came and went without much hype…so… like… ‘NSYNC tour, when?

I say this because the Backstreet Boys residency at the Sphere in Las Vegas has been a huge success. And they’re making some noise, especially where I live, because they’re doing a six show residency in Toronto at Rogers Centre in February with tickets on sale this week and they’re doing BIG numbers, it will be a sellout, their only stadium concert in North America in 2027. I can’t imagine that someone somewhere isn’t or hasn’t been trying the same for ‘NSYNC and, well, for a long time there was thought to be one holdout.

Finally, JT went a bit viral this week because of this hilarious video, it’s the “boots” and the “cats”. And he commented.
