As I mentioned the other day, I’ve recently developed a (late) addiction to Veronica Mars. It’s amazing how many faces have passed through Veronica Mars. Jessica Chastain passed through Veronica Mars, did you know that? It was one episode, she played a victim and, in what’s promising to be a great career, it wasn’t very memorable.

But this is what you do. You do the small work and you work hard and it pays so that you can keep hoping for the next and bigger and the more. If that actually happens, you don’t trash the beginning just because you’ve arrived.

Jessica Chastain, I promise you, won’t be sh-tting on her time on Veronica Mars. Jessica Chastain bursts into tears when Gary Oldman tells her he’s an admirer, humble and grateful to have had the opportunity. Just as she was last night at the NBR, attending as part of the Best Ensemble (The Help).

Rooney Mara was also there to receive the Breakthrough Performance Award alongside Felicity Jones. But she was probably too busy being “aloof” to be appreciative.

By the way, have you read Rooney’s interview with David Fincher in Interview? Click here if not. It’s HILARIOUS. They, literally, “aloof” all over each other. The interview was conducted and the magazine was released well before “aloofing” her became a thing to do. Just so you know, this wasn’t a joke. That’s actually how these two pretentious f-cks talked to each other.
