Jessica as always

Jessica Simpson was in New York this week performing on The TODAY Show. She also did an interview with Jenna & Friends and was asked about dating and the qualities she’s looking for in a partner, which the Jenna IG account posted and she reposted to her followers. Like that specific moment from their conversation – so she wants it out there, she is ready, she is looking…and John Mayer, if you’re reading this, it does NOT apply to you. Leave her alone. 

The priority right now for Jessica, though, is the music. As MC noted in his most recent Music Lounge, she just released a new single, “Fade”, off her upcoming EP Nashville Canyon Pt 2. So far her comeback hasn’t resulted in a big splash but I’m not sure that she was setting up for those expectations either. The vibe she’s been putting out has really just been that after such a looooog break from recording and performing, she’s enjoying the process, she’s out to have a good time. And that’s all it has to be.

Because this is exactly how we picture Jessica Simpson moving through an airport. The girl loves a maxi dress – maxi being the operative word because the outfit is doing too much and the boots are appalling. But also … comforting? This is the Jessica we know, this is when the familiarity of bad footwear can actually be a good thing, no sarcasm, just affection.
