It helps on Monday. And especially since he’s so infrequently photographed. Out of all the British Invasion Boys, having met and observed them all, he is my favourite. On talent, on personality, on sex appeal… it’s Jim, always Jim. Followed closely by James McAvoy.

Jim was at the British Independent Film Awards last night in London, criminally underphotographed. Some agencies didn’t even bother shooting him. But they’re dumb. Because Jim, who may not be papped as often as Lindsay Lohan, works SO MUCH MORE than Lindsay Lohan. He’s been working back to back, just came off a film with Colin Farrell and Ed Harris called The Way Back, and was sweet enough to grant an interview with one of his fan sites recently during which he talked about his upcoming film Heartless, developing a Polish accent, and his ideal romantic lead: Charlyne Yi. Heh.

As for Heartless, due out early 2010, um, yeah so, he sang the theme song at the film’s London screening recently. The song is sh-tty. But Jim Sturgess, in a leather jacket, on stage, and his voice…
