Greta and Joan in London

I forgot Toy Story 5 is coming out in a few weeks until seeing photos from the film’s premiere in London. That fits with the general themes of aging, the passage of time, and this franchise’s longevity surrounding the film.

A Toy Story film is always notable, but this one is especially notable because Greta Lee joins the cast as the electronic tablet toy Lilypad. That means Greta Lee was at the premiere—she was also dipping into the BBC earlier in the day—and she did not disappoint.

I can almost get on board with blunt bangs, that’s how cool Greta Lee is (Check The Tag says the dress is High Sport).

But you know who I am REALLY on board with? Joan Cusack! She made her first red carpet appearance in ELEVEN YEARS. She showed up with a bob, glasses, and a button down tucked into a skirt (very Sharon Stone of her). HELLO JOAN!!!

I can never gauge how iconic Joan Cusack is because I love Addams Family Values and Grosse Pointe Blank so much it skews my perspective. But I feel this is a stunning look on Joan, made even better because she looks so unimpressed in every photo, like she’s already regretting going out. Joan, SAME.

Except when she’s with Greta Lee, naturally. Probably I would also find purpose in a night out if I encountered Greta Lee.

The premiere also brought out Tom Hanks, dressed like a Cool Dad. He was doing the most Cool Dad At Disney thing and goofing off with Woody on the red carpet. Truly, he is America’s favorite uncle.

Tim Allen was also present.
