No surprise, he did not walk the carpet. Contrary to most of his peers, he won’t seek the attention unless absolutely forced to. This is why candids of Johnny Depp are so hard to come by. Ask the paps. It’s almost impossible to track JD. And it’s not like they don’t try. He’s in the world Top 3. His photos generate thousands and thousands of dollars. But he knows how to hide. Again, it IS possible.

Which is why enjoying him at an awards show is such a treat. We likely won’t see him again this season. He won last year for Sweeney Todd, remember? So he came back to return the favour.

As usual, up on stage, he was adorably uncomfortable, heartbreakingly beautiful, humble as ever, and blessedly spare with his words.

I love you. So much.
