Johnny Depp is so perfect it’s almost unkind. What’s even more unkind however is that Johnny has no Oscar, though that may change this year.

Sweeney Todd is due out at Christmas and the buzz is building. The handicaps keep changing but word according to insiders now is that it’ll be Johnny vs Daniel Day Lewis in a photo finish. DDL’s new film is called There Will Be Blood. As usual, he is breathtaking.

But so is Johnny. And many believe Sweeney Todd is his best work yet, giving him the opportunity to showcase his full range – he is weird and wily and heartwrenching and frightening…and musical all at the same time!
