Jonathan Rhys Meyers celebrated his 32nd birthday yesterday at the U2 show in Dublin almost a month after he was arrested in Paris for pulling a Kiefer Sutherland style drunken rage on a waiter in an airport bar. He’ll appear in court in September.
JRM has been f-cked up now for over 2 years but is said to be working hard at sobriety and indeed, he does look much healthier here, with a little extra weight, and a lot less crazy in the eyes.
The girl is his longtime companion Reena Hammer. Theirs is a volatile relationship, on and off, intense, passionate, and sometimes obsessive. Like they shouldn’t be together but can’t be apart.
Jonathan is currently shooting a new season of The Tudors. Joely Richardson has just signed on to play Catherine Parr, the last of Henry’s wives, for 5 episodes airing in 2010.
JRM will next appear in theatres in From Paris With Love, alongside John Travolta, next year. The movie poster was released not long ago. I like it.
