Julianne Moore did not receive an Oscar nomination this week for her great work in The Kids Are All Right. Another ginge, Nicole Kidman, took that spot. It’s a motherf-cker indeed that Julianne, so brilliant, still doesn’t have one. Just like it is the case for Annette Bening. And chances are, that will continue if Natalie Portman persists being Natalie Portman.

Still, given the five women who did make the Academy’s list, it’s really hard to argue against, considering their performances. This was a strong year.

But even though Moore was denied a spot, she was honoured today at Harvard as the Hasty Pudding Theatricals Woman of the Year. Here she is in Cambridge receiving the award. Her male counterpart this year is… uh… Jay Leno.

ERrrrm…how did that happen?
