The people who remain willfully ignorant of the power of BTS were in for a surprise today at the New York Fashion Week Calvin Klein presentation when Jungkook arrived and set off a meltdown. Sure, there were other celebrities there, but none of them had the crowd losing their f-cking minds like they did when JK showed up.

And, by the way, that’s why the fans showed up. Once it was confirmed that JK would be attending, I guarantee you ARMY was ready and prepared to camp out to get a glimpse of their golden maknae and SCREAM.

To the photographers who were there and focused instead on photographing western celebrities, which is why I’m having a hard time finding agency pictures of him, big mistake, huge. Do you hate money?

This was Jungkook’s NYFW debut, although he’s been a CK ambassador for years, since before he enlisted. The brand, obviously, brought him to the show to increase visibility and hype and, obviously, it’s working since BTS’s fans are blowing up his appearance today across all socials and fancam-ing his behaviour and reactions during the show.

Meanwhile in other BTS news, today is RM’s birthday (which is over now in Korea) and to celebrate he did a livestream to update ARMY on how the album is going. He also has a new hair colour. BTS as we know is working on the comeback album and he talked about the pressure to make it what it has to be since they’ve been away for so long. Sounds like they’re still writing lyrics and fine-tuning what they were working on in LA but if the music is coming, the tour is coming, the re-takeover is coming.

Before we move on to What Else, please note, we are LIVE CHATTING the Emmys at The Squawk on Sunday night. We’ll start towards the end of the red carpet and the thread will remain open and active through the broadcast. Hope you can join us!

What else happened today…

Speaking of the Emmys, the seating chart was revealed and I’m already annoyed that Sydney Sweeney, who is presenting, is sitting in front of Harrison Ford. (EOnline)

Will there be a look at the Emmys on Sunday that will be worse than this one on Heidi Klum back in 2015? (Go Fug Yourself)

This one really hurts – Ego Nwodim is leaving Saturday Night Live, and so soon after what was her strongest season. For those of us who’ve been watching for decades, we know this is cyclical, every generation has its own cast. So, I suppose, this was inevitable. But f-ck, she will be so missed. Her energy is irreplaceable. (Pajiba)

Vulture’s Emmy predictions are pretty much in line with what we’ve been saying here for months – nobody knows if it’s going to be Severance or The Pitt. (Vulture)

Labubu has been upgraded by Louis Vuitton. It’s a collaboration between Kasing Lung, the father of Labubu, and LV for a limited drop. I can’t afford it but what I do love about this promotion is that since Labubu was born in Hong Kong, two legends of the Hong Kong film industry are featured in the campaign: Michelle Yeoh and Tony Leung! Flip through the carousel to see.
