Amy Schumer posted a very cluttered Instagram story about media reports she isn’t wearing her ring in photos (particularly the photo below). The thing is, ring watch is dumb. And “sources” already told PEOPLE Magazine they are struggling. The ring is inconsequential.
What’s notable about Amy Schumer is that she’s been famous for over a decade and she still responds quite vigorously to media reports. This is common behaviour for famous standup comedians; they come across as sensitive to any negative feedback. And the more famous they get, the easier they are to poke. This is like a Bat Signal for TMZ and Page Six.
Are you familiar with Club Chalamet’s game? Part Twitter punchline, part fan, part social commentary on unsettling parasocial relationships. I don’t know if this is a pop culture joke or something we will look back on 10 years as disturbing behaviour.
