It’s Kate Winslet’s first carpet since winning her Oscar in February. She said she wanted to retreat, spend time with her children, her husband, and not work for a while. Unlike Granny Freeze Nicole Kidman, she’s true to her word.
But she hit the circuit last night in support of Sam Mendes. At a special screening for his Away We Go in New York.

Anyway, loving Kate’s fresh face, very little makeup. Not loving her dress. At all. Why that business around her arms? So old lady.
