Keanu Reeves was on Jimmy Kimmel Live! last night and….no problems. I say this because, well, almost every male Movie Star of his generation is problems. Keanu, however, will not let us down! This is not a prayer, it’s a statement, delivered emphatically. As I’ve said before, I’m superstitious AF and I’m not worried we’ll have to go back on those words. He’s good. And not performatively.
So back to him on Kimmel and how the crowds outside reacted to him – the paps described it as a “frenzy”. And there’s Keanu, signing autographs with his backpack which I find so endearing because that really is his own sh-t, he doesn’t need an assistant to carry his belongings. And it doesn’t go with his suit but it does go with his suit because he’s Keanu and what the f-ck does he care about things going together?!
Anyway, one of the headlines coming out about Keanu on Kimmel is Marvel-related. It’s well-known now that Kevin Feige and the MCU have been trying to find a role for Keanu for years. And he told Kimmel that he’d be into it, and that the ten-year-old him would want to be Ghost Rider. Look, I don’t know the comics, I don’t know what that means. I don’t know if it would be a good fit or a bad fit. I can’t comment on whether or not that’s a good idea. But they’re obviously both willing to date each other, it’s just a matter of finding the right project.
