Lainey’s trip to Ottawa ft. Hudson Williams
The reason I edited the site yesterday is because Lainey had to go to Ottawa…to moderate a panel at Prime Time 2026, hosted by the Canadian Media Producers Association. She was on the red carpet with PM Mark Carney and Hudson Williams:

Where Hudson gifted PM Carney THE Team Canada fleece:
I feel like we’re all like those little aliens in Toy Story, every time we see The Fleece we’re going the fleece, the fleeeeeeece. I’ve already asked our site manager, Emily, to send me one, lol. It just looks cozy!
Inside the event, Lainey also moderated a panel with Hudson, Sophie Nelisse, executive producer Brendan Brady, and show creator/showrunner/creative mastermind Jacob Tierney—as a Letterkenny fan I am just SO PROUD of Tierney and so happy for his success. Tierney got emotional when talking about the importance of “I’m coming to the cottage”, which is being memed to death, but it really is the pivotal moment when two closeted lovers commit to having some kind of future together. It’s a big moment for Shane and Ilya, but also queer people in general, as Tierney points out, saying, “This was the point, to give people this moment that you don’t get when you’re a gay kid.”
(Using the word “lovers” and I can hear Shane whispering, “No that’s gross”.)
Elsewhere in Heated Rivalry land, Christina Chang, who plays Shane’s momager Yuna Hollander, was at the American Heart Association’s Red Dress Collection.

I texted Lainey while I was watching the show on my first run through about how glamorous Yuna is, which is entirely about Christina Chang’s screen presence. Every time she pops up on screen, it’s an instant charisma hit. I think this is why Yuna can’t resist Ilya even though she hates him on principal as her son’s archnemesis—they’re the suns around which the Hollander family revolves, the two charm bombs taking down these serious, focused Hollander men. There’s so much to look forward to with Heated Rivalry going into a second season, not least of which is more Yuna + Ilya friendship developing.
And more Lainey on red carpets with Team HR! We're Squawking Lainey and Hudson today - go crazy! (App link here)
